Summer school???

Well, many of my friends continue homeschool year-round without breaking for the summer. My plan this year was to continue through June since Daddy was teaching summer school anyway. We would wrap up a few loose ends, stay fresh, stay on schedule, etc. We would have Monday through Thursday classes, Daddy time on Friday, then break for July and part of August. That was the plan . . . Then Mommy got pregnant. And really tired. And the plan went out the window! :) So we've gone to the park, participated in the library summer reading program, gone swimming at the neighbor's pool, and just had fun with family and friends! We've had a few mini-vacations thrown into the mix also (I'll get to those pics soon). But as far as school goes, NADA. ZIP. :(

You might not be formally "having summer school" but I bet you are unschooling. We tend to be more unschoolers in a lot of areas. Primo reads books daily, we point out the difference between . ? ! We discuss pausing at comas. We point out why some things have capital letters and some don't. We do art projects and take pictures of nature. We visit friends and take over gifts for people that just had babies or are homebound. We write letters to daddy and our sponsor kiddos in Uganda and Ethiopia.
I am sure they are learning a ton, because you are their mommy :)
