On our way to Monterrey, we stopped overnight in San Antonio. It was still really early (we could have made it to Laredo before dark, but we really don't want to stay in Laredo for any extended amount of time!!!), so we went down to the riverwalk and ate pizza in the mall. If you've never been to San Antonio, you should! Victor and I went for a mini-vacation a few years back (before children!) - the river, the Alamo, New Braunfels (Schlitterban), San Marcos (outlets), just a great vacation spot!
