Rodriguez Academy updates

We're still enjoying school as you can see from the photos! We've joined a co-op that meets on Thursday mornings - this month we studied the United States and focused on Texas last week - here are my little cowboy, cowgirl, and horse! Charlie was holding the flag for the pledge at the co-op, and Victoria was working on making her own flag after learning about the American flag. We also have joined another homeschool group that meets on Tuesday afternoons at the park. This week we had a field trip to the Depot Museum - Victoria enjoyed the tour of historic homes and artifacts but everyone's favorite was riding the old carousel! And finally Victoria is really enjoying her new "work station" thanks to Grandmother! She's reading better and better each day - in Spanish only at this point - adding English soon, she's starting to spell words - she wrote her first sentence last week - after reading "Pepe toma sopa" (Pepe drinks soup), she wrote "Daddy toma coca" (Daddy drinks Coke). LOL She has started adding in math, and we're still studying birds in science. Her favorite is still music! Charlie participates sometimes (depends on his mood!) - we have a different special toy for Charlie each week to occupy him when he's not interested in school!
