February

We've had some camera trouble lately - may be having to buy a new one soon! So, I don't have many pictures of our February unit studies. Our unit for the month was "the zoo," and we had lots of fun with it! We'll be taking a couple of trips to two different zoos this month, so that will top off our study! Since we were focusing on zoo animals, we chose Eric Carle as our author for the month of February. I love most all of his books and love the fact that many of them are also in Spanish! The kids even did some Eric Carle artwork to make covers for their zoo books that we made (hopefully pics of that later). We also read several biographies of famous African Americans during February - George Washington Carver and Harriet Tubman to name a couple.
