Christmas

We looked for some fun, local, FREE, Christmas activities for the family this year. One of them was a live, drive-thru nativity at a church in a nearby town. After we drove through twice, the kids noticed a tractor pulling a wagon - despite the fact that we had already been through TWICE, and it was FREEZING outside, they wanted to go through again on the tractor ride! And while we definitely do not put any emphasis on Santa Claus - "Christmas is all about Jesus and giving in honor of his birthday, Santa is just a fun pretend game some people play", our town has a Santa who comes to his little house every year and you can have breakfast with Santa at the library - since it's free, we went to that this year too.

For our family advent calendar, we again used Ann Voskamp's Jesse Tree material. I like that it includes a little activity/challenge for each day to keep you focused on Christ!
