We also made and delivered LOTS of cookies - the kids chose widows, senior adults, and some other church members and friends - we had one delivery for each day leading up to Christmas. Here we are making some of the cookies -

Each cookie delivery had to have a card to go along with those cookies - here's big brother working on a masterpiece -
We read some great books - "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" is one of our favorites! We're still reading the Little House series - in December we finished "By the Shores of Silver Lake" and fittingly started "The Long Winter". Other than that we read lots of favorite picture books about Christmas and a few new favorites about Hanukkah (Big sis was a little upset that we did not celebrate Hanukkah like we did last year, but her mama was just too pregnant this year to get it all organized!).
Our preK kiddos had some fun workbaskets - pumpkin and apple pie scented playdough is still a favorite -
Our Fisher Price nativity from Grandmother is always a hit!
We made gifts for our school friends this year - peppermint playdough - we made red and green (although truth be told, since I waited til the LAST minute to make this fun little project, I couldn't find the peppermint extract at the store - so ours smelled like spearmint! LOL!) - sorry, no pic of the final product, but we put them in little jars - some of each color - and the kids decorated labels for them.
Last year we studied Christmas around the world, but this year big sis enjoyed studying the symbols of Christmas - the why behind some of our traditions - very interesting -
