From the mouths of babes . . .

I don't let Victoria watch much tv, but most days she watches "Caillou" after lunch (a cute little program on PBS). Today, however, it was not on due to the inauguration. She was, of course, very disappointed but we talked a little about what was going on and that there is a new president. I really said very little to her about it all. So Victor and I were very surprised when during family prayer time, she asked to pray for the new president! Her prayer went something like this "God, be with the new president. Help him be a good president and only do what God wants him to do. . . and help all the United States people who don't have houses - maybe they can go with the new president and he can get them a hotel room." :) Ok, the last part was pretty humorous, but what a great reminder she gave us! Let's stop the gloom and doom and worry - and let's start praying for him!

Amen! God can use President Obama any way He chooses, and it is now our duty as Christian citizens to pray for him and to give him the honor and respect due his office. Way to go, Victoria!
