Big brother

Well, so far, it seems my biggest challenge this year will be what to do with this little man! :)

I organized work baskets this year so that the little ones would be occupied while I worked with big sis one on one. They have math games, puzzles, abc activities, etc. as well as some sensory tubs that I'm putting together. Little sis LOVES them! She has learned how to choose her work basket, take it to her table or the floor, do the activity, clean up, choose another, etc. Perfect! Well, big brother makes his choice, plays for about 2 minutes, and then throws it all over the room! So, we're back to the drawing board with him - he's just not got the same personality as his sisters (and he's a boy!). So we're giving him more one-on-one time with mom while big sis works on something independently and trying to come up with some things that he WANTS to do independently. When asked what his perfect school day would look like, he responded with "lots of spiders and rats"! :)

Here he is examining a poor little hummingbird that died last week -
